Ansaldo Nucleare - This is an Italian company with experience in the design, construction and servicing of nuclear power plants. AREVA - The AREVA group was formed through the merger of all CEA-Industrie, COGEMA, FRAMATOME ANP and FCI operations. Atomstroyexport (ASE) - The company was established in 1998, by decision of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Atomic Energy (Minatom), in order to promote the efficient export of Russian-made products for nuclear power projects abroad.
Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) - The ARPS is a professional society of members engaged in one or more aspects of radiation protection. The Australian Radiation Protection Society was founded in 1975 and has more than 250 members engaged in radiation protection activities. The Society was renamed the Australasian Radiation Protection Society in 1997 to reflect the increasing involvement of members from outside of Australia, particularly from New Zealand.

Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) - The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency This is the Australian federal government agency charged with responsibility for protecting the health and safety of people, and the environment, from the harmful effects of radiation (ionizing and non- ionizing).
Australian Safeguards and Non-Proliferation Office (ASNO) - The Australian Safeguards and Non-Proliferation Office is responsible for nuclear safeguards, nuclear security and the physical protection of nuclear facilities. ASNO is responsible for ensuring that nuclear materials and nuclear items - facilities, equipment, technology and nuclear-related materials - are appropriately regulated and accounted for. ASNO is responsible for ensuring Australia's commitments under the NPT, CPPNM and the various bilateral safeguards agreements (covering supply of uranium and other issues) are met, particularly that nuclear activities are conducted for exclusively peaceful purposes.

British Nuclear Energy Society (BNES) - The Society, established in 1962, is the leading learned body in the UK for all persons interested in nuclear energy. Cameco Corporation - This is an excellent web site from the world's biggest uranium producer. It's easy to navigate, well laid out with good use of graphics. Importantly it also gives a reasonable amount of information on Cameco operations with details of uranium reserves, production, processing sites and stock prices.
Canadian Department of Natural Resources, Energy Sector - The Energy Sector is one of five sectors within Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The sector's activities focus on R&D, policy development and programs in the areas of energy efficiency, renewables and alternatives, hydrocarbons and nuclear energy.
Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) - Environmental assessment is about protecting the environment, according to the CEAA. Site includes information on the activities of the CEAA, a master list of all the environmental assessments carried out under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act that have been registered by responsible federal authorities, and links to other relevant web sites. Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) - The Canadian Nuclear Society was established in 1979. The CNS is dedicated to the exchange of information in the field of applied nuclear science and technology. This encompasses all aspects of nuclear energy, uranium, fission and other nuclear technologies such as occupational and environmental protection, medical diagnosis and treatment, the use of radioisotopes, and food preservation.

Central Organisation for Radioactive Waste (COVRA) - This is the only company in the Netherlands that is qualified to process radioactive waste. Any company in the Netherlands, licensed to work with radioactive materials under the nuclear energy act, is bound by law to tender its waste to COVRA.

Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique (CEA) - The CEA is a French public institution involved in fundamental and technological research related to nuclear technology. 16,000 people work for the CEA in 10 research centres.
Committee on Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment (COMARE) - This is an independent UK expert advisory committee with members chosen for their medical and scientific expertise and recruited from universities, research and medical institutes. The committee offers independent advice to all government departments and devolved authorities, not just the Health Departments, and is responsible for assessing and advising them on the health effects of natural and man-made radiation in the environment. It is also asked to assess the adequacy of the available data and advise on the need for further research.
Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) - This is an independent committee appointed by the UK government. Its task is to review the options for managing those UK radioactive wastes for which there is no agreed long-term solution. CoRWM was asked to consult and to make recommendations to the UK government in 2006. Future decisions and policies will be made by the UK government.
Comurhex - This AREVA subsidiary is a converter of natural uranium into uranium hexafluoride (UF6), a product used to fabricate nuclear fuel. Comurhex also recycles uranium from used fuel. The company conducts its operations at its two sites in southern France: Malvesi and Pierrelatte.
Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. (CRCPD) - This is a non-profit non- governmental professional organization dedicated to radiation protection. CRCPD's primary goal is to make sure radiation exposure to individuals is kept to the lowest practical level, while not restricting its beneficial uses.
Connecticut Yankee (CY) - The Connecticut Yankee nuclear power plant, located in Haddam Neck, Connecticut, USA, began commercial operation in 1968 and produced more than 110 billion kWh of electricity during its 28-year operating history. In 1996, the CY Board of Directors voted to permanently close and decommission the power plant. After two years of planning and preparation, actual decommissioning began. Decommissioning is projected to be completed by the year 2006.
