Canadian Department of Natural Resources, Energy Sector - The Energy Sector is one of five sectors within Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The sector's activities focus on R&D, policy development and programs in the areas of energy efficiency, renewables and alternatives, hydrocarbons and nuclear energy.
Centre for Energy - This site provides information, data and educational materials pertaining to Canada's energy sector and energy-related issues.
Energy Information Administration (EIA) - The EIA is part of the US Department of Energy and collects information across the whole of that department's brief. Of particular interest in a nuclear context is the Uranium Industry Annual with its wealth of data on nuclear power and uranium. Also forecasts for the US and world uranium production/consumption and nuclear generating capacity. A full list of US nuclear power plants is given, together with brief details of each plant.
Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) - The organisation works on renewable energy sources, nuclear energy, fossil fuels, energy policy, radiation technology, energy engineering and the rational use of energy and materials.
European Commission Directorate General for Energy and Transport (TREN) - This new Directorate General was formed by the merger of the Directorates General for Transport and Energy. It manages programmes centring on trans-European networks, technological development and innovation. Includes the Annual Energy Review.
European Energy Foundation (FEE-EEF) - This is an informal and neutral forum where topical energy related subjects linked to the European Union political dialogue are presented. The purpose of the Foundation is to facilitate the reciprocal exchange of information between parliamentary representatives, members of the European Commission, European civil servants and other authorities and, principally, the industrial and scientific sectors and all other interested parties.
ExternE - Externalities of Energy - The ExternE project, a research project of the European Commission, is the first comprehensive attempt to use a consistent 'bottom-up' methodology to evaluate the external costs associated with a range of different fuel cycles, including nuclear power. Fuel cycle externalities are the costs imposed on society and the environment that are not accounted for by the producers and consumers of energy, i.e. that are not included in the market price.

International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) - The association was founded in 1977 in response to the 70's energy crisis. It is a worldwide non-profit professional organization based in the USA, with members in over 70 nations, who strive to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas, experience and issues among professionals interested in energy economics.
International Energy Agency (IEA) - The IEA is an autonomous agency of the OECD. Includes a selection of regularly published statistics, current spot market prices, contacts and a range of information about the agency and its work programme.
Platts - This site - run by McGraw-Hill - includes Nucleonics Week, Nuclear Fuel and Inside NRC recent editions, together with UDI statistics.
Power Technology - An extensive website which includes details of current projects around the world, a buyers guide and a list of forthcoming conferences and events. Also includes useful links to energy organisations worldwide.
Renewable Energy Policies & Measures in IEA Countries - This database is an initiative led by the International Energy Agency (IEA), and is being implemented in collaboration with the European Commission and the Johannesburg Renewable Energy Coalition. The database features over 100 countries and offers renewable energy market and policy information in one format in one location for countries that together represent almost total global renewables supply.
US Department of Energy (DOE) - An extensive site, with a vast resource of information on energy in the USA, as well as international data.
US DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) - This site serves a dual purpose, directing you to detailed information about EERE, its programmes, and the technologies that it is developing, while also providing a portal to worldwide information about energy efficiency and renewable energy.
World Energy Council (WEC) - This is a global multi-energy organisation with Member Committees in over 90 countries, including most of the largest energy-producing and energy consuming countries. The organisation covers all types of energy. Site includes information about WEC and its publications, press releases and an Energy Data centre.
