Nuclear cooperation agencies

Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) - The network was formed to tackle the common problems in developing nuclear energy in the member countries by exchanging opinions and information with a view to promoting peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the Asian region.

Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organisation (KEDO) - Established to advance the implementation of the October 1994 Agreed Framework between the USA and North Korea, KEDO has served as a unique vehicle for implementing energy-related projects in North Korea and, more broadly, for supporting international nuclear non-proliferation efforts and peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) - The NEA is a semi- autonomous body within the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The objective of the agency is to assist its member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co- operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally friendly and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
