The Analysis Group - The group, part of the KSU, is responsible for generating information with a scientific approach on nuclear power issues that might arise in the media or in the political and public debate. The site contains information regarding reactor safety, ionizing radiation and comparison of risks/environmental influences of different energy sources. Also includes Swedish opinion polls on nuclear energy. *In Swedish only*
Atomic Energy Insights (AEI) - This site, presented by Adams Atomic Engines Inc, offers an alternative source of information supporting the development of the nuclear power industry.
Center for Reactor Information (CFRI) - This is a US-based independent organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of the many benefits of sustainable nuclear energy. It is a volunteer organization whose membership comprises mainly retired engineers, scientists and researchers in nuclear reactor systems, technologies and safety.
ExternE - Externalities of Energy - The ExternE project, a research project of the European Commission, is the first comprehensive attempt to use a consistent 'bottom-up' methodology to evaluate the external costs associated with a range of different fuel cycles, including nuclear power. Fuel cycle externalities are the costs imposed on society and the environment that are not accounted for by the producers and consumers of energy, i.e. that are not included in the market price.
HowStuffWorks - Nuclear Power - This pages gives a step-by-step introduction to nuclear energy - from the basics of fission to how a nuclear power plant operates - utilising plenty of graphics.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) - The IAEA serves as the world's central inter- governmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field. It is a specialised agency within the United Nations system. This website offers a vast range of nuclear energy-related resources.
Japan's Nuclear Power - This website is the official site of the Washington Office of The Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan (FEPC). The purpose of this site is to provide information mainly on Japan's crucial nuclear power program. This website is therefore dedicated to educating visitors about the reasons why Japanese industry is pursuing a nuclear power program, as well as a 'closed' nuclear fuel cycle.
