Mr Jason K Cameron is a Safeguards Officer in the Non-Proliferation, Safeguards and Security Division of the Atomic Energy Control Board (AECB) of Canada. Presently, his responsibilities include preparation for implementation of the Additional Protocol in Canada and facilitation of IAEA safeguards at fuel fabrication facilities and Candu multi-unit reactor sites in Canada. Before joining the AECB, he was a private consultant on arms control issues to the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, contributing to projects on universality in safeguards and satellite imagery in IAEA safeguards implementation. Through an internship with the Canadian Department of National Defence from 1996–97, he worked as a visiting information officer for the Uranium Institute. He earned his MA in international relations from the University of Calgary in 1996, where his thesis was entitled "IAEA Safeguards After Iraq". |
