Mr Daniel Comte is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs and of the University of Nice, where he received a doctorate in geology. In 1973, he joined the Mining Exploration Department of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), and then of Cogema when it was created in 1976. He spent 18 years in this department, acquiring expertise in managing uranium and gold exploration projects around the world. In 1991, he moved towards commercial and strategic activities within Cogema as General Manager for Europe within the Marketing and Sales Division, and then the Corporate Strategy and International Development Division. In 1997, Mr Comte joined the Uranium Division of Cogema as Executive General Manager for Marketing and Sales, his present position. |
