Hon. Eldon Lautermilch

Hon Eldon Lautermilch was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan. He and his family have operated a business in Prince Albert since 1970. Mr Lautermilch was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 1986, and has been re-elected three times. In September 1992, he was appointed to the province's Cabinet as Minister of Natural Resources and Rural Development. In February 1995, Mr Lautermilch was appointed Minister of Energy and Mines. Until 1997 he was also responsible for SaskEnergy, Saskatchewan Power Corporation, and other Saskatchewan crown corporations. He presently remains Minister for Energy and Mines with additional responsibility for the Saskatchewan Research Council and Saskatchewan Forest Products.
