Mr Alain Michel is an independent consultant specialising in communication on political issues which have technical backgrounds. In particular, the science and technology of plutonium and its possible use in civil nuclear reactors are central to his activities. Mr Michel has an engineering education and worked for more than 30 years for Belgonucléaire. His work for this company ranged from plutonium fuel design research and testing, to media and public relations. In 1986 he founded the Presses Interuniversitaires Européennes, and in 1995 he started Le Hêtre Pourpre, which recently published English and French versions of Plutonium: Blessing or Curse? |
