Joe F
Colvin is President and CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), the US
nuclear energy industry's policy organisation, representing nearly 300 US
and international corporations. He assumed his current position in 1996,
after serving two years as the Institute's Executive Vice President. Prior
to joining NEI, Joe Colvin was President and CEO of the Nuclear Management
and Resources Council (NUMARC), one of NEI's predecessor organisations.
From 1980 to 1987, he held several senior management positions with the
Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) in Atlanta, Georgia. Before
joining INPO, he served 20 years in the United States Navy as a nuclear
submarine officer. Joe Colvin currently also serves on the board of directors
of Cameco Corporation, and a number of energy-related groups. He served
on the Bush Administration's Energy Transition Team. Joe Colvin holds a
bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico,
has completed advanced studies in nuclear engineering, and is a graduate
of Harvard University's Advanced Management Program. He is a registered
professional engineer. |
