Toshiaki Enomoto

Dr Toshiaki Enomoto graduated from the Nuclear Engineering Department of the University of Tokyo in 1965. After graduating, he joined the Tokyo Electric Power Company. In 1983 he became Manager in the Nuclear Power Programs Section of the Nuclear Power Plant Construction Department. He became General Manager of the Engineering Department of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 1987. At the end of 1988 he returned to the Nuclear Power Plant Construction Department as Deputy General Manager. He received a Doctorate of Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1990. In 1991, Toshiaki Enomoto took the post of Deputy General Manager (Planning) in the Nuclear Power Administration Department, becoming General Manager (Planning) of that department in 1994. In 1995 he moved to Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant with the position of Superintendent. In June 1997 he became a Director and Deputy Nuclear Officer, and in June 1999 he took up his present position of Managing Director and Chief Nuclear Officer.
