Victor M Mourogov

Dr Victor M Mourogov studied power engineering at the Moscow Institute of Applied Physics and was a Candidate of Science at the Institute of Physical and Power Engineering (IPPE) at Obninsk, where he became Doctor of Science in 1989 and Professor in 1992. In 1994 he became an Academician of the International Academy of Information. He worked as a Senior Scientist at IPPE from 1970 to 1989, when he became Scientific Secretary of IPPE and Head of the Division of Organisation, Planning Research and Development and Advanced Investigations. From 1992 until the end of 1995, Victor Mourogov was Director of IPPE, a State Research Centre of the Russian Federation. He was also Chairman of the IPPE Scientific Council and a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation. Since January 1996, Victor Mourogov has been Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, where he heads the Department of Nuclear Energy.
