Agneta Rising is Corporate Senior Adviser at Vattenfall AB. She has been working at Vattenfall (formerly the Swedish State Power Board) since 1980, mainly on radiation protection issues related to the nuclear fuel cycle. Agneta Rising was elected Chairman of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) in May 2000. She is also President and co-founder of Women In Nuclear (WIN), a worldwide organisation with 2000 members in 54 countries. She is also President of the European Nuclear Society and President of the Swedish Nuclear Society. She has been appointed by the Swedish Minister of Industry and Trade as an advisor to the government's programme analysing and reporting on the development of new reactors in the world. |
