Geoff
Varley has more than 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including
more than 13 years as a consultant and manager with NAC, and, before that,
more than 12 years with British Nuclear Fuels plc in the UK. A graduate
of Manchester University in the UK, he holds a first class honours degree
in Physics and a PhD in Experimental Nuclear Structure Physics. Since joining
NAC in April 1988, Geoff Varley has performed a wide range of consulting
activities, serving clients worldwide in many different fuel cycle segments.
In June 1993 he became general manager of NAC's Zurich operations and in
July 1996 he opened NAC's first UK office. Geoff Varley has personally managed
the NAC market analysis, database and consulting activities for a majority
of countries in Western and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Near East. He
has made major contributions to NAC's market, technical and engineering
consulting activities world-wide. His consulting expertise is applied to
all nuclear fuel cycle sectors, with special focus in the enrichment market
sector, fuel fabrication and the back end of the fuel cycle (reprocessing,
plutonium and uranium recycle, waste management and decommissioning). |
