Biography of Moukhtar Dzhakishev

Dr Moukhtar Dzhakishev graduated from the Moscow Physics Engineering Institute in 1986, and completed post-graduate studies there in 1990. He was Finance Director, General Director and President of JS BUTYA, 1992-97, and President of JS ALAUTRANSGAZ, 1997-98. Dr Dzhakishev was appointed Head of the Closed Joint Stock National Atomic Company in 1998 and Deputy Minister, Energy and Mineral Resources, in 2001. In February 2002, Dr Dzhakishev renewed his Presidency of KAZATOMPROM.
