Dr Yuriy Leonidovych Kovryzhkin
is First Vice-President and Technical Director of the Ukrainian nuclear utility ‘Energoatom’. He graduated with honors from the Moscow Power Institute in 1979 and is a specialist in the field of nuclear power plants and installations. After his military service he worked at the Production Energy Association ‘DniproEnergo’ in Zaporizhzhya. From 1983 to 2002 he worked at Zaporizhzhya NPP as a reactor hall operator, senior engineer, reactor hall shift supervisor, Manager of the full-scope simulator of the Training Center, and Chief Engineer of the plant.
Since December 2002 - a vice-president, head of operating body of Energoatom. In June 2004 he was appointed First Vice-President and Technical Director of Energoatom. He is a Candidate (Doctor) of Technical Sciences. He is the recipient of several senior honours from the Ukrainian government. |
