Charles K. (Ken) Anderson is Founder and President of CKA associates, an international management and technology consulting company that he founded in 1993. He has more than thirty-five years experience with technical and commercial activities in all segments of the nuclear fuel cycle. During his career, he has worked on most major fuel cycle projects in the USA, Asia, Western Europe, Latin America Eastern Europe and the former USSR.
From 1990 to 1993 the Nuclear Assurance Corporation employed him as Vice President for Commercial Development responsible for establishing spent fuel management and transportation equipment and services for international clients. Prior to that he had 21 years experience in various positions with ABB and Combustion Engineering (now Westinghouse) with responsibility for developing that company's full line of nuclear fuel businesses. From 1980 through 1991, Mr Anderson was commercial director for the fuel division and he was responsible for negotiation of supply contracts and management of nuclear fuel and equipment deliveries. Ken Anderson has a full range of experiences in both the front and backend of the fuel cycle as well as in-core fuel management, and he has recently been involved with utilities interested in establishing new designs and/or suppliers. He has advised government agencies concerning the establishment of indigenous manufacturing facilities and modernization of existing facilities in Taiwan, Ukraine, Mexico and Russia’s Minatom. Mr Anderson has a Professional Nuclear Engineering Degree and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also has a B.S. in Chemistry from Bucknell University. |
