Biography of Roger Ewart Smith

Roger joined Rothschild in 1988 and is a Managing Director within the energy team. He has worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions and privatisations. Countries where he has undertaken transactions in the power sector include UK, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, US, Canada, Korea, Malaysia, Columbia, Argentina, Chile and South Africa. During the past five years he has had a particular focus on the nuclear sector and advised BNFL in relation both to its own restructuring and its role in the restructuring of British Energy. He is currently leading the team advising on the sale of Westinghouse.
