Wallace M. Mays is President of the two uranium related companies WM Mining Company and CIMA Energy Corporation that he established in 1995. WM Mining Company owes and develops uranium mines in Mongolia, USA and Kazakhstan, and trades their uranium. CIMA Energy Corporation manages reclamation of mine sites.
Mr Mays has over 30 years experience in the uranium industry. He holds BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Texas. After a stint as a Nuclear Weapons Officer with the US Navy, he entered the commercial oil refining and chemicals industry and held positions of progressive responsibility with several companies. His career in the uranium industry started in 1974, when he became Engineering Manager, responsible for the design, construction and operation of the first In-Situ Leach (ISL) uranium mine in the USA as well as the marketing of uranium. Since then he has held a number of senior positions in Everest Minerals Corporation, where he developed and operated four ISL uranium mines in Texas and the Highlands ISL uranium mine in Wyoming; in Power Resources Inc., where he was responsible for marketing uranium and was technical director of the Highlands mine; in Concord Services Inc., where he managed ISL and other uranium-related projects; in Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc., where his duties included planning for the Arizona Strip mine and district, acquisition of ISL properties in Mongolia, acquisition of the Reno Creek project, leasing of the Dewey Burdock project, and acquisition from Union Carbide of its interest in the White Mesa mill and the reclamation of six underground uranium mines in Utah; and Uranium Resources Inc. (URI) where he planned the Rosita ISL uranium mine well-field and start up. |
