William Vereker

Mr Vereker is Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Power and Head of European Natural Resources in Lehman Brothers Limited. He joined Lehman Brothers in 2005 from Morgan Stanley where he worked for nine years and was latterly Head of European Utilities. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1996, Mr Vereker worked at the advisory house Babcock and Brown and prior to that at Schroders, the UK merchant bank.

During his 17 year banking career Mr. Vereker has specialised in energy and utilities and has been involved in many of the landmark acquisitions, divestments, debt and equity offerings and privatisations which have taken place across Europe commencing back in 1989 and 1990 with UK electric and water privatisations and most recently the Neste Oil spin off and offering by Fortum oyj of Finland. Clients have included among others Suez, Centrica, ENEL, EDP, Iberdrola, E.on, Shell, Fortum, Scottish Power, International Power and ENI.

Mr. Vereker holds a BA (hons) from the University of Cambridge.
