Hans-Uwe Siebert
Mr Siebert is 57 years old and holds a PhD in Physics, graduating from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany.
He has worked in the nuclear industry since 1971, first in fundamental nuclear physics in the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research in Dubna , Russia . From 1976-1991 he worked for the National Board of Nuclear Safety in Berlin in the fields of nuclear material assay, radiation protection, radioactive waste treatment and disposal and nuclear environmental monitoring, last in the position of a Director.
In the nuclear fuel business Mr Siebert has worked in fuel manufacturing as well as in sales first for Siemens since 1991 and from 2001 for AREVA. Until the beginning of this year, he was General Manager of Advanced Nuclear Fuels GmbH, the fuel manufacturing affiliate of AREVA NP in Germany.
Currently, Mr Siebert is Senior Vice President of the Fuel Manufacturing Business Unit of the Fuel Sector of AREVA NP. In this position he is responsible for the nuclear fuel manufacturing activities of AREVA NP in France, Belgium, the Unites States and Germany.
