Steve Tritch

Steve Tritch is responsible for all Westinghouse commercial global operations. He became President and CEO of Westinghouse in July 2002.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Tritch served as Senior Vice-President at Nuclear Fuel. Prior to that, he managed the integration on the former ABB nuclear businesses into Westinghouse Electric Company, and was Senior Vice-President of Nuclear Services.

He has held numerous managerial and General Manager positions since he began his Westinghouse career in 1971 as a product engineer in the Power Circuit Breaker Division. In 1983 he joined the Westinghouse Research and Development Center as a manager of Naval Ship Programs.

Later Mr Tritch serves as Manager of Training and Recruiting for the Westinghouse International Power Systems Organization, Marketing Manager of the Nuclear and Advanced Technology Division, and Manager of the Government Systems in the Westinghouse Advanced Energy Systems Division. In 1991 he became Manager of the Nuclear Safety Department and in 1992 he was appointed General Manager of Engineering Technology.

He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh . He is a member of the American Nuclear Society and serves on the Nuclear Energy Institute's Board of Directors and the Governmental Affairs Advisory Committee. Steve also serves on the Engineering Board of Visitors at the University of Pittsburgh.

Steve was selected as the 2002 Distinguished Alumnus for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and in 2004, he was awarded "Engineer of the Year" by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers International, Pittsburgh Section. In 2006, Steve was honoured by the University of Pittsburgh with their Distinguished Alumni Fellows Award.
