Biography of Robert Vance

Currently is an Energy Analyst with the Nuclear Development Division of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. Prior to joining the NEA, he was Advisor of Uranium Development in Natural Resources Canada, where he worked on the development and implementation of Canadian federal uranium mining policy, federal – provincial agreements on the decommissioning of uranium mining facilities, and the development of federal positions on nuclear fuel cycle issues. From 1998 to 2006, Bob was the Canadian representative on the Joint OECD/NEA-IAEA Uranium Group and from 2002 to 2006, Chair.

Prior to working in the nuclear area, Bob was a researcher with the Geological Survey of Canada and the Archaeological Survey of Alberta, a consultant, and a lecturer at Simon Fraser University and community colleges.
