Robert Vance

Robert Vance is an Energy Analyst with the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency in Paris where he provides information to member governments on uranium supply and demand and related issues in the development of nuclear energy. Prior to joining the NEA in 2006 he was Advisor of Uranium Development in the Canadian federal Department of Natural Resources, where he worked on federal uranium mining policy, federal-provincial uranium mine decommissioning agreements and the development of Canadian government positions on nuclear fuel cycle issues. From 1998 to 2006, he represented Canada on the Joint OECD/NEA-IAEA Uranium Group and from 2002 to 2006 was Chair.

Prior to working in the field of nuclear energy, Dr Vance conducted climate change research at the Geological Survey of Canada and lectured at Canadian universities and community colleges.
