MIKHAIL ABOIMOV
Mikhail Aboimov is Director of Strategic Risks and Opportunities Assessment Centre, and Advisor to General Director of JSC Techsnabexport, doing business under the trade name of Tenex. He assumed his present position at Tenex in January 2007. His responsibilities include seeking strategic opportunities for Tenex and the Russian uranium enrichment/conversion industrial complex, and assessment of risks associated with Tenex’s various projects and resulting from interference between the projects. In addition, Mr. Aboimov participates in the elaboration and optimization of a long-term investment programme, aimed at modernization and the development of the Russian enrichment and conversion capacities.
Mr. Aboimov joined Tenex in February 1994 and previously was mostly responsible for negotiation, conclusion and implementation of contracts associated with the US-Russian HEU Agreement, assuming various positions in Tenex’s front-office Firm Uranservice and its Department of Intergovernmental Programs and American Operations.
Mr. Aboimov earned his degrees in chemical engineering (in R&D of materials for quantum electronics) from the Russian University for Chemical Technology named after DI Mendeleev, Moscow (1994) and in international economy (in the area of trade regimes and restrictions) from the All-Russia Academy for Foreign Trade, Moscow (2000).
