RALPH PETERSON

Ralph R Peterson is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CH2M HILL Companies Ltd, a 24,000 employee-owned firm providing engineering, construction, and operations services. The firm serves public and private sector clients globally in the water, environmental, transportation, industrial/manufacturing, defence, nuclear, and energy and chemicals sectors. He has worked for the firm since 1965 and served as the firm’s Technology Director before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1991.

Mr. Peterson has served in a variety of project engineering, construction and project management roles during his career, including numerous project and line management roles involving the development and application of environmental, water and industrial process technologies. He continues to be actively involved in the firm’s project delivery activities, including service on the boards of numerous joint venture companies and ongoing engagement with many of the firm’s clients.

Aside from his duties as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for CH2M HILL, Mr. Peterson is currently chair of the Engineering and Construction Governors of the World Economic Forum, a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Business Environment Leadership Council of the Pew Center for Global Climate Change, the National Petroleum Council, the Construction Industry Round Table, and the Executive Committee of the Council on Competitiveness.
