WOTAN SWIEGERS

Dr Swiegers is a medical doctor with a special interest in work related diseases, aviation and diving medicine. He is a Fellow of the College of Medicine (South Africa) and a Member of the Royal College of Occupational Medicine and the American College of Environmental Medicine. He was awarded a Doctorate (PhD) by the University of Pretoria. Previous positions held include Manager HSE Rossing Uranium and Director of the MRC’s Research Institute for Environmental Diseases (RSA). At present he spearheads the Chamber of Mines of Namibia’s Uranium Chapter and serves on the World Nuclear Association Sustainable Development Working Group.
