CHRISTIAN HILLRICHS

Christian Hillrichs was born in 1953 and studied mechanical engineering at the Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences. In 1978 he began working in the nuclear industry for KWU AG, at that time a 100% subsidiary of Siemens AG. His work included a period of several years in the field of heavy component manufacture in Argentina, and a subsequent posting as Project Manager for various service projects in the USA.

From 1993, he headed the Nuclear Services Organization "Repairs and Replacement", which served nuclear power plants all over
the world. From 1997, he gained commercial experience as Head of International Nuclear Sales & Marketing within Siemens
Power Generation.

Following the merger of Siemens’ nuclear business with the French company Framatome in 2001, Christian Hillrichs was appointed Vice President Sales & Marketing.

In October 2003 he became responsible for the Services Sector within AREVA NP’s German regional company and since September 2008, has been appointed Senior Executive Vice President of AREVA NP’s Services sector (three regions). Christian Hillrichs is married and has two children.
