MELANIE GRIMMITT

Melanie Grimmitt has over 12 years experience of working on infrastructure, energy and construction projects and has worked on nuclear projects for many years. Melanie is part of the core nuclear team at Pinsent Masons which represent clients across the spectrum of the industry, including generators, technology suppliers, transmission companies, owners and operators, public and private utilities, international contractors, banks and governments. Within this team Melanie has advised on nuclear power projects in the Middle East, South Africa, Eastern Europe and the UK.

Melanie’s particular recent experience includes advising a bidder on the new build nuclear project in South Africa; advising on contracts for an Intermediate Storage Facility relating to the Chernobyl Shelter Implementation Plan for unit 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant as well as drafting terms and conditions for supply chain contracts on nuclear licensed sites in the UK. Melanie also lectures and writes widely on nuclear law issues.
