JOSEPH HUSE
Joseph Huse is the managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Middle East and Africa practice and is head of its International Nuclear Power Group. His practice consists primarily of infrastructure and energy projects. In particular, Joseph has extensive experience in all aspects of nuclear new build. He is a member of the International Nuclear Law Association and co-chairs the World Nuclear Association’s Nuclear Law and Contracting working group. Joseph is also the author of the book Understanding and Negotiating Turnkey and EPC Contracts. He is currently advising the Kingdom of Bahrain on the development of its nuclear power programme and Westinghouse on Abu Dhabi’s nuclear power programme and is assisting the Forum of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa and the Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators.
He previously acted for the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organisation, created by the Governments of the United States, Japan and South Korea, in relation to the supply and construction by KEPCO of two 1,000 light water reactors in North Korea.
