DAVID H. JONES

David Jones began his career with Southern Company in 1979 as a Junior Engineer with Alabama Power after graduation from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. While at Auburn he was a co-op student with the Tennessee Valley Authority in construction at Bellefonte Nuclear Plant. At Southern Nuclear Company he has progressed through positions of increasing responsibility in the Nuclear Support organization including Plant Farley Engineering Manager, Plant Vogtle Project Support Manager, Engineering Plant Support Manager, and Supply Chain General Manager and Vice President-Engineering at Southern Nuclear. In March, 2009, David was named site Vice President for Vogtle 3 and 4. He is responsible for all site activities associated with the construction of Vogtle Units 3 and 4. He has approval authority for administrative and working procedures related to construction, staffing and training, start up and plant operation for the units.
