DANNY RODERICK
Danny Roderick joined GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) as Senior Vice President, Nuclear Plant Projects in December 2008.
In this role, Danny is responsible for leading all aspects of project management for new and existing nuclear plant projects including planning/scheduling, budgeting, quality, vendor and partner management, commercial operations and risk management and contract management.
Danny possesses more than 25 years of proven performance in the nuclear industry, serving in leadership positions in Engineering and Project Management, Outage and Work Controls and Operations.
Danny came to GEH from Progress Energy, which he joined in 1996. While at Progress, he held various roles of increasing responsibility, including serving as Director of Site Operations and Plant GM at its Crystal River Nuclear Plant. Danny also served as Vice President of Nuclear Projects and Construction where he was responsible for a multi-billion dollar development program overseeing the project development, construction, and operational aspects of four new nuclear units in the company’s nuclear expansion strategy. Prior to joining Progress, he spent 13 years in plant operations and engineering assignments with Entergy’s Nuclear Division, and three years as a Start-Up Engineer and Field Engineer with Johnson Controls and Howard S. Wright Contractors at the Perry Nuclear and Columbia Generating Stations.
Danny holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and a master’s degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas.
