ANNE STARZ

Ms Starz is the Technical Head for Infrastructure and Planning, in the IAEA’s Nuclear Energy Department. Before joining the Agency she served in Vienna as a diplomatic attaché for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where she helped craft a U.S. strategy for outreach to countries introducing nuclear power. She has more than a decade of experience in policy and international cooperation in non-proliferation, nuclear security and nuclear energy in the DOE and the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration. Ms Starz received her MA in international commerce and policy in 2000 and a BA in cultural anthropology in 1992 both from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
