NANCY R. TUOR
Nancy Tuor is Group President and Executive Sponsor for Sustainability at CH2M HILL. She recently served as Program Manager on the MASDAR City development in the United Arab Emirates.
Ms Tuor has served in a wide array of leadership roles during her distinguished 30-year career with CH2M HILL. Her most recent assignment was serving as the Group Chief Executive for CH2M HILL Federal Client Group, where she oversaw the Environmental Services, Nuclear, and Government Facilities and Infrastructure Business Groups, representing 3,000 staff and $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Previously she served as the firm’s Vice Chair where she was responsible for strategic planning, governmental affairs, strategic communications, and technology commercialization. Prior to that role she was as President and Project Chief Executive for the Rocky Flats Closure Project, the first large nuclear weapons facility to be cleaned up and closed anywhere in the world. This 10-year, $7 billion award winning project converted an environmental liability into a community asset.
Before moving to Rocky Flats in 1995, Ms Tuor served as Regional Manager of CH2M HILL’s South Atlantic Region. Prior to that role, Ms Tuor served in a variety of project and technical discipline leadership roles, including being part of the core leadership team which established CH2M HILL’s environmental business in the 1980s. She is serving her third term on CH2M HILL’s Board of Directors.
In recognition of the leading role she played in the accelerated cleanup of Rocky Flats, Ms Tuor was named one of the 2005 Top Newsmakers by Engineering News Record and is the recipient of the 2005 Del Hock Lifetime Achievement Award from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
